Despite Dirk Nowitzki’s 28 points and Jason Terry single-handedly outscoring the Boston Celtic’s entire bench with 18 points of his own, the Dallas Mavs still couldn’t stage a victory. Tonight’s 102-93 loss at home to the Celtics makes them losers of two of the last three games. Just think, it was only a week ago when the Mavs were riding the waves of a 13 game winning streak. Funny things happen in the NBA. You get drafted by a team who took a chance on you, and in turn you reward that team by giving them your best on the court. Well many do, but some don’t.
And, to move in a new direction, add pieces to the puzzle, make a push toward the title run, dumping off some baggage on some other team, or shoot just trying to clear cap space in hopes of hit the lotto next season (like New Jersey Nets and even the Washington Wizards) by way of a top pick, teams’ management will shake things up in the franchise.
