Posted by admin on Jun 25, 2010 in News, Sports

Dominique Jones

None of us expected the Mavs to make any noise in Thursday night’s NBA draft. Not with holding only a 5oth overall pick they wouldn’t. But during the draft watch party held for media and minutes before the Memphis Grizzlies made their pick at 25, word was seeping from the Mavs’ draft room that a move would likely be made to get the right to the player selected.

The Grizzlies took South Florida Guard, Dominique Jones, and then it was official minutes later. With owner Mark Cuban’s cash, Mavs General Manager and President Donnie Nelson decided to step their game up for Jones at a cool $3 million dollar price. Read more…

Mavs main ingredients to keeping their season alive

Posted by admin on Apr 29, 2010 in Events, Sports

It’s game six tonight in San Antonio. The Mavs pulled out a nice game five win at home to stave off elimination, but still have their backs against the wall. Nowitzki’s 36 Led Mav to Game 1 Victory Over Spurs

Posted by admin on Apr 19, 2010 in Sports, Video

He was in a zone. Dirk Nowitzki was straight butter, hitting 2 of his 14 attempts from the field, and was 12-12 from the free throw line. None of the coverages that Spurs coach Gregg Popovich tried to use to take #41 out of the game worked. Along with Caron Butler’s 22, the Dallas Mavericks take a 1-0 series lead with the 100-94 win.

Game 2 between the Mavs and Spurs is Wednesday. Tip off is an 8:30p.m. (cst) start.
